I saw a guy at the Redlands Market night a few weeks back. My daughter was the one that actually saw it...she insisted I come over and touch the "grass" that was laid out in front of the booth. I wasn't too interested, but after touching it ..... it really did look, feel, etc., like real grass. The guys business name was Just Like Grass (oddly enough!)

He's located in Southern California, I found his website for you: http://www.justlikegrassinc.com

Hope this helps, there's a button at the top for free estimates.

why not get rid of the gravel and put marbles in it instead. youll still have to change the water daily and when your home you might want to keep the fish in a bigger tank at home, maybe rotate them in the leg to keep them less stressed, that is what they have at hotels, and large offices, they keep a pool of 100+ goldfish and then they rotate them in the show tanks so you see 5-10 big awesome fish at a time.

good luck

glue some gravel on with aquarium sealant and then you'll never have to hide the base again. let the gravel stick and dry before putting it in and it should sink to the bottom by itself. at least that's my lazy way of doing it.

Plant weights. I had ordered something else form this seller on ebay, and he sent me the wrong thing-these weights, and told me to just keep them. I had no idea what they were, so looked them up on his store. I've used them now for a few months in several of my tanks. They're flexible and work good. The plants I used them on have stayed in place. Here's the link and the guy I bought them, or rather some plants from:

Well I was gonna suggest looking for a waterproof "blu tac-type" stuff... But then I got thinking.. What if there was waterproof tape?! And I found some!!! Links under the sources!! I'm not sure where you live so I just posted up links from UK. If you live elsewhere, I'm sure it shouldn't take much more digging to find a supplier where you are. Just type in the "part number" to google or something!

Hope this helps you!

Tie them with fishing line to a heavy rock.

Mix aquarium gravel with aquarium silicone and stick the plants into a blob of that. Let it dry and stick it in the aquarium.

i have a couple of 55 gallon tanks with oscars in them, they kept pulling up the artificial plants i put in. i went out and bought some tiny zip ties and zip tied the plants right to the undergravel filter. works great!

filling a jar or plastic tub/bowl with plaster of paris I believe it is, and sticking the plants in it before it dries. Thats how my college fish tank was, because it was so deep, but whatever the hard white stuff was that was holding the plants in the tubs really worked.
