I havent put any fish in it yet, but Im trying to decide between fake or real plants…
Also, wont the freshwater fish eat all of it? if so, can you list fish that wil and wont?

~i have a 2.5 gallon tank currently there is a beta, molly and an african dwarf frog in it~
~there are no plants (real or artificial) in the tank at all~
~it has an under-gravel watering system in it~
~i have experience with many fish tanks before.. i just wanted another small one for my desk

Don’t put live bamboo in a tank. They go into vases.
You could get some dried bamboo. Some fish shops and most garden centres have it. You need to cat it in a polyurethane varnish, let it dry, cut it to size then using aquarium safe silicon sealant seal the eds of the bamboo. let it dry for 24 hours then using the sealant, glue it to some stones to stop it floating off.
If you want live plants, Java fern and Java moss are really easy to look after, so is Canadian waterweed and Indian marshweed.
